WHO IS POLAR GEOGRAPHIC?
POLAR GEOGRAPHIC is run by polar expedition guide, Gregers Gjersøe.
In addition to running POLAR GEOGRAPHIC, Gregers also works as a guide on expedition ships in the Arctic and Antarctic. He drives Zodiacs, leads hiking and snowshoe groups, and gives lectures on board polar expedition ships. Among other things, he talks about his previous expeditions across Greenland and to the South Pole.
Gregers has an in-depth knowledge of Greenland, where he also works as a Travel Guide.
Gregers uses his personal experience as well as his professional expertise to help new guides and powerboat operators learn the skills they need to sail safely in open water and in the harbor.
He is looking forward to giving you the skills you need to sail legally in a speedboat. Gregers has offered speedboat courses for more than three years and he is among the best in the industry. Therefore, he can give you the skills you need to sail safely and pass the final test.

GREGERS GJERSØEGregers is a professional outdoor guide and former commercial pilot with over 20 years in the aviation industry. His love for the outdoors, combined with his passion for polar exploration led him to undertake an ambitious crossing of Greenland on ski as well as an expedition with his friend, Kristian Joos, to be the first Danes to ski to the South Pole.
Soon after his journey across Greenland, Gregers realised that there was a need for a more robust curriculum and educational programme about the Arctic for Danish youth. Using his experience and passion for the polar regions, Gregers founded the Polar School (Danish: Polarskolen) to inspire the next generation of polar adventurers. Polar Geographic is his latest venture and is dedicated to combining all of Gregers' diverse interests in the polar regions into one comprehensive adventure and education-based organisation. |
