Take a one day speedboat driving course and learn to drive a speedboat safely and legally.
When you take a speedboat driving license with us, safety at sea is our priority. You will learn everything there is to know about the rules of the water, standard signage in Danish waters, and yielding the right of way.
Our courses are small (4-6 students) to give as much steering time as possible.
The first part of the course is theory-based. We have developed a cutting-edge online course to help you learn all of the required speedboat theory. This online course takes approximately 3 hours to complete and you should plan to complete it before your practical skills session.
After you complete the online course, it’s time to go sailing. For the practical skills, we use a brand-new POCA 600. POCA is 100% Danish-made and the boat is designed for Arctic conditions and it is outfitted with a reliable 115 HP engine. The boat is safe and stable, making it appropriate for adults and children, alike. For xtra safety the boat is fitted, with a xtra small outboard engine.
On the water you learn to steer the boat safely in and out of the harbor. You will also learn how to dock a boat, come alongside, and prepare it for mooring. Furthermore, you will learn how to accelerate, stop, and steer, both using visual navigation and compass-based navigation. This course also covers the basics of performing a man-overboard maneuver. In addition, you must be able to explain various topics within safety at sea

You must read and familiarize yourself with the theory materials before the course starts. The theory materials will be sent to you as an online course once you sign up.
The material is made so that everyone can participate. There are lots of pictures and videos to provide a clear and engaging learning experience. Each chapter ends with a quiz to help reinforce your learning. You should expect to spend approximately 3 hours on the online course before your practical skills session on the water.
You also need to know four sailing knots for the final exam. In order to pass, it is important that you have thoroughly studied all of our pre-course materials. However, most students find that the course materials are easy enough to learn with a bit of time and practice.
When you show up for our practical skills session, we will spend the time on the water. During this session, you will go through all the things that are required for you to pass the final exam.
Before the exam starts, you will have 1 hour to ask questions, practice your skills, and consolidate your learning.
